All fees must be paid in advance. We can issue an invitation letter once our bank
confirms receipt of payment. If original copies of documents are required, we can send
them by mail, free of charge, or by courier at a cost of €100. Students who experience
delays in having their visas issued can postpone their course.

We will refund all prepaid course fees, minus €265 for administration costs, for all visa
refusals. Written proof of the visa refusal from the Embassy is required.

Students are always welcome to extend their stay at Emerald. We recommend you do this
at least two weeks before completion of your original course. Once fees have been paid
in full for the extension, the student will be issued with the relevant acceptance letter to
present to the INIS (Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Services). A fee of €300 is
payable to the INIS each time a visa is extended.

The INIS (Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Services) requires a minimum attendance
rate of 85% for students requiring visas. Our teachers keep a daily attendance record. In
the event that students here on a study visa do not attend their courses, the school is
obliged to report this to the Immigration authorities.
