Our long-term Academic Year Programmes (AYP) offer you a substantial level of flexibility. You can combine different modules and courses to suit your individual requirements. Our Director of Studies, your Academic Mentor and teachers will help design a study path to fully suit your level of English, your academic needs and your learning goals.
Long-term programme students usually begin in our Intensive Course to gain a firm understanding of general English skills. Our new ‘Integrated Learning’ curriculum is based on 21st Century Skills such as collaboration, critical thinking and problem solving. Learn more about our modern approach to Integrated Language Learning.
Once you have gained an appropriate level you can take part in our other 20-hour courses depending on whether chosen 20 hours, 20 + 6, or a combination of both, such as our Cambridge and IELTS Examination Preparation courses.
Your Academic Mentor, class teachers and the Director of Studies will keep in touch with you and monitor your progress throughout your stay. You are provided with:
AYP3 - Combination of 20 hours group tuition per week and 26 hours group tuition per week
AYP3: Combination of AYP1 and AYP2 class times
Students of an appropriate language level may incorporate any of our afternoon options into their study programme. Compatible with preparation for TOEIC, IELTS, Cambridge Examinations (available for AYP2 and AYP3 only).
Academic Year Programmes may be subject to change as a result of updates to the current Immigration Guidelines and Procedures.
Immigration regulations require all non-EU students to undertake a recognised examination at the end of an Academic Year Programme. Recognised Examinations accepted by Immigration include IELTS, Cambridge Examinations and the Test of Interactive English (TIE).
