Free Activities

City Orientation for new students

A 45-minute walk through Dublin city centre with our Emerald Guide. Transport tickets will be discussed as well. A great activity for new students on their first day.

INIS seminar

This seminar is for all new students who will need to go and register with the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service. Opening a bank account, requesting a PPS number, and taking holidays will be discussed as well.

Catch up with students

Meet up with students to share their experiences at the Emerald School and provide them with personal support.

Language Exchange

Learning another foreign language can be a significant advantage in your career as long as allowing you to connect with others. Practice and learn another language meeting up for conversation exchange with other students. Please sign up for this activity by Wednesday. NMI Archaeology

The National Museum of Ireland – Archaeology, on Kildare Street in Dublin, first opened its doors in 1890 and since then it has been filling in the blanks for us through its extensive archaeological collections. Please sign up for this activity by Wednesday. St Stephen’s Green & Powerscourt Townhouse Tour

Explore St Stephen’s Green Park and Powerscourt Townhouse Centre, a speciality shopping centre set in an elegant Georgian house centrally located just off Grafton Street. Please sign up for this activity by Wednesday. St Patrick’s Cathedral

Built-in honour of Ireland’s patron saint, Saint Patrick’s Cathedral stands adjacent to the famous well where tradition has it Saint Patrick baptised converts on his visit to Dublin. Please sign up for this activity by Wednesday. Trinity College Trails

Guided tour through the ancient grounds of Trinity College Dublin. Walk in the footsteps of famous past students and discover the stories that make Trinity such a special place. Please sign up for this activity by Wednesday. Book of Kells Experience

Experience Gaia, the spectacular illuminated artwork by Luke Jerram now on display in the Old Library and venture on an extraordinary immersive voyage in The Book of Kells 360, a spectacular journey in light and sound of the ancient masterpiece’s history.
