About this course

This course focuses on the teaching of English in the secondary-school classroom. You are presented with different learning theories and their applications. We provide you with the opportunity to improve your confidence and competence in English by means of language development classes. Classroom seminars focus on elements of Education and Irish Culture.

Practical Modules Include

  • Teaching the Four Skills; Use of Authentic Materials
  • Tasks and Activities for Language Learning
  • Drama and Role-Play in the Language Classroom
  • A minimum language level of Upper Intermediate (CEFR B2) is required for this programme

Please Note

*A minimum number of participants is required to run this course. In the event of fewer than 6 people on the scheduled course dates, General English classes will be offered in the morning at the appropriate level with the teacher training modules to be held in the afternoons.
