About this course

We have designed this course specifically for students who are preparing to join an undergraduate or postgraduate programme in an English speaking university. If you already have a good level of English, but need to develop the additional techniques and skills necessary for academic study, then this course is the most suitable option. Our new ‘Integrated Learning’ curriculum is based on 21st Century Skills such as collaboration, critical thinking and problem solving. Learn more about our modern approach to Integrated Language Learning. The Intensive Plus English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course is dedicated to developing academic English reading, writing, grammar, listening, speaking, and vocabulary skills. The course provides 20 hours of lessons and 6 hours of small group tuition weekly and is offered subject to a minimum number of course participants. Topics covered include:

Participating in tutorials and seminars
Academic writing skills for essays, reports and reviews
Academic listening and note-taking
Giving Presentations
Examination techniques
Academic reading skills and critical thinking
