We are recruiting teachers of English and other subjects for our junior summer programmes.
We have residential and non-residential positions available for July and August.
Morning and Afternoon work available.
RESPONSIBLE FOR: Preparing and delivering English-language lessons as assigned by the DoS. The syllabus is a clearly-defined one and teachers are required to cover the assigned material for each week. The focus for the early part of the day is on grammar, use of English and vocabulary building. The focus for the second part of the morning is on Irish life and culture. Material is available for both lessons and the topics for the Irish culture classes are assigned for each week. Teachers are encouraged to adapt as needed to suit particular classes and levels and supplementary material is available in the staffroom for all classes. If you are using authentic material, please be sure that the content suitable for the age and class profile. If in doubt, please check with the DoS prior to the lesson.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

*positions available for teachers of other subjects as well (including drama and PE) and for primary-school teachers
WORKING HOURS
5 mornings per week – Monday to Friday (either 15 hours or 30 hours of teaching weekly depending on age-group taught)
OPTIONAL
Afternoon teaching work (on some schedules)
Afternoon and/or evening/weekend work on the social and cultural programme as agreed with the Centre Manager.
N.B. Teachers employed on a package basis will be assigned this work weekly. If additional work is available once all of these teachers have had their schedules assigned, the Centre Manager will check availability with other staff members.
