Located in the prestigious Wagner College on Staten Island, New York, the Emerald Institute also benefits from the world-wide reputation of its sister school in Dublin the Emerald Cultural Institute.

The vibrant and varied mix of cultures in New York, its museums and galleries and many different tourist attractions give it a unique position in the world.

Staten Island itself offers green spaces, wonderful harbour views and easy access to Manhattan by means of the Staten Island ferry, which carries commuters to and from city free of charge. The ferry ride offers visitors unforgettable views of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and the lower Manhattan skyline.

In existence since 1883, and in its present location since 1918, Wagner College campus is impressive. Visitors marvel at the magnificent views of New York harbour, the wide green spaces around the campus buildings and the state-of-the-art facilities. On-campus facilities include a library, gymnasium and fitness centre, swimming pool and student canteen.

Social and Cultural Programme
Two activities per week are included in all our adult programs. These include visits to places of cultural interest, seminars and half-day excursions. In addition to this an English-language film is shown daily at the school. During the summer months there is also an optional weekend program.

Accommodation
Residential accommodation for all programs is available on campus.
Guest-house, apartment and hotel accommodation can also be arranged for adult students. For further information on cost and availability please contact the Institute directly. A regular bus service operates between the campus and all types of accommodation.
